A man has turned himself in to the Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Department in the case of the death of Keenan McLaurin.

According to the JDCSD, around 9 a.m. on March 24, Diawon Gray, 25, walked into the Sheriff’s Department and turned himself in. Authorities say it was in the shooting death of the 25-year-old McLaurin. The incident occurred March 23 on Hosey Mikell Road between 3 and 8 a.m.

Gray was arrested and charged with manslaughter.

On March 24, 2023 at approximately 0900, 25 year old Diawon Gray came into the Jefferson Davis County Sheriff Department and turned himself in for the shooting that lead to the death of 25 year old Keenan McLaurin. The shooting took place on March 23, 2023 between the house of 0300 to 0800 on Hosey Mikell Rd. Gray was arrested and booked in and charged with Manslaughter.
