The next generation of thespians are honing their craft at New Stage Theatre’s annual Broadway Jr. Camp.
Students have spent the past four weeks learning acting, dancing, music, and more. The camp culminates in the production of “Children of Eden Jr.”
“In its simplest form, it is a creation show. It is a show about love. It takes you on a journey over how do you choose the bigger picture versus what your heart is telling you.” said Assistant Director Ashia Benford.
Kya Jackson of Clinton is set to play the role of Eve.
“What I enjoy the most is the performances, because I get to show off what I have done over the month to my friends and family.” said Jackson
Marc-Daniel Cornelius of Jackson is ready to play the role of both Adam and Japeth.
“You get to experience what you have done as work and now proceed into a big performance, a big show that you experience with a lot of other people.”
The camp began on June 20 and will conclude this weekend with four performances and two casts.
