Tyler Mixon, 21, was arrested on Friday, June 18. He was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after a rap video recorded within the city showed Mixon and others openly displaying firearms.
According to reporter Kellye Branch from the Vicksburg Daily News, officers on the Vicksburg Police Department Narcotics Team and the NET Team made the arrest.
The 21-year-old appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Monday. He was given a bond of $30,000 and bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
Mixon was arrested on the same charges twice last year, in April and August.
