Jackson Police are investigating a shooting that occurred around 4:20pm Monday in the 100 block of Berryhill Place.
When officers arrived they discovered a black male victim who had been shot multiple times and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
That victim has since been identified as Markavious Carey, 22.
Investigators are still gathering evidence and information on possible suspects and motive.
