A Tylertown man is dead after a one-vehicle accident over the weekend.

On Sunday at approximately 3:47 a.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Highway 48 in Walthall County.

A 2022 Dodge Challenger driven by 24-year-old Jehdiel Harrell of Tylertown, MS, traveled east on Highway 48 when it left the roadway and collided with a guardrail and a tree. Harrell received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
