On Wednesday, a Scott County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics agent made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction.
During a brief interview, a strong odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle.
After a search of the vehicle, the driver was found to be in possession of approximately 80 pounds of marijuana.
The driver was booked and charged with aggravated possession of marijuana.
The driver has a previous history of distributing illegal narcotics.
Due to the amount of narcotics seized, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics came to assist with the seizure and processing of the marijuana.
