On Sunday afternoon, April 28, while patrolling County and State Roads, in Pontotoc County, a Narcotics Unit, of the Criminal Investigation Division (CID), and Patrol Deputies, of the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department were conducting daytime Narcotics Operations.
During a traffic stop for a traffic violation, over 230 pounds of marijuana, with a street value of over $500,000 was seized.
Oleksandr Pakalov, a Ukranian national was arrested and charged, with Trafficking Marijuana.
The perpetrator’s vehicle, a 2021 Mercedes-Benz, has also been seized, by the Criminal Investigation Division by statute 41-29-153 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 annotated.
