You’ve seen him on FRONT LINES. He’s the guy who stops to talk to the kids that work at Little Caesars, and to let them pet K9 Rik. He’s the guy who stopped for a stranded U.S. Army Veteran on the side of the road when her car ran out of gas and she only had $3 to her name, then he filled up her tank from his own wallet.

Deputy William Lindley found out recently that he had colon cancer. After surgery, he’s missing a foot of intestine, but he’s expected to make a full recovery. As you can imagine, though, the medical expenses have been quite prohibitive for him and his wife Brittany and his three children.

A group of Lindley’s friends got together to organize a benefit which takes place Saturday, April 23 at The Back Porch in Brandon. Come by and eat crawfish, play cornhole, buy raffle tickets, and bid on some really amazing prizes between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and proceeds will go to Lindley’s medical bills.

If he hasn’t helped you or been there for you personally, you can pull up FRONT LINES and watch how he does it. Now it’s our turn to give back to this really selfless guy who would literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Literally.
