A man is in custody after leading police on a chase from Jackson to Flowood.
According to authorities, the pursuit began in Capitol Police Department’s jurisdiction. The route of the chase has not been released, but there were officers on scene from Capitol, Flowood, Rankin County, Pearl, and Mississippi Highway Patrol after the suspect wrecked his small Dodge SUV in a hedgerow between Logans and McAllisters in Dogwood.
The suspect then allegedly jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot toward Belk. He was taken into custody without event, authorities said. His name has not yet been released.
