On the morning of April 12, deputies arrested Carl Champlin for Sexual Battery, Lustful Touching of a Child for Lustful Pleasure.

This arrest stemmed from an investigation made by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division. Champlin was booked into the Adams County Jail and given a $75,000 bond.

Sheriff Patten stated that the investigation is still ongoing and more charges may come at a later date.

Sheriff Patten went on to say that he did not want to release too many details about the case, due to the sensitive nature of the crime.
