On July 11, at approximately 7:30 a.m., Adams County Sheriff’s Deputies were alerted by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations (LBI) about a wanted fugitive, Chad Dewayne Bouchaund Jr. (B/M D.O.B. 01/04/1999, Baton Rouge, LA).
Bouchaund was sought for six counts of pornography involving children under the age of 13 (felony) and one count of computer-aided solicitation of a minor (felony).
Deputies found Bouchaund in the parking lot of Dollar General on 786 Hwy 61 North in Washington, MS, and detained him.
During a pat-down, deputies discovered what they believed to be a gun in Bouchaund’s jacket pocket. Bouchaund resisted, broke free, and ran across the Tractor Supply parking lot.
Two good Samaritans intervened: one blocked Bouchaund’s path with his truck, and the other tackled him, enabling deputies to apprehend him.
Deputies recovered a P365 9MM Sig Sauer from Bouchaund’s jacket, which was reported stolen from Lewisville, Texas.
Bouchaund, a convicted felon, was transported to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Attempt to Escape, Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. A hold was placed on him for LBI.
Deputies also arrested Tyreik Jayon Webster (B/M D.O.B. 04/24/2001) for Tampering with Physical Evidence and Possession of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance (Marijuana Less than 30 grams).
Sheriff Patten said,
“In the age of the defund the police movement, today was a welcomed gesture that shows the relationship with law enforcement and the citizens in this community are heading in the right direction,”
