On Wednesday, April 24th, The Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, and Mississippi Highway Patrol joined forces and conducted a mass saturation detail that took place all across Yazoo County.
14 people were arrested in the operation.

Eight people were arrested for DUI or other. One person was arrested for DUI refusal.
One was arrested for felony Possession of Controlled Substance, one for Tampering with Evidence, five for Marijuana in a Motor Vehicle.
Three illegally possessed weapons were taken off the streets.
One AR-15 style weapon had a “switch” installed on it with over 50 rounds of ammunition.
The Yazoo County Sheriff said,
“These kinds of weapons are very dangerous and we are very glad to be able to successfully get them off the streets. These proactive collaborations will drive the criminal element out of Yazoo County and make this place safe again. There will be much more to come!”
