JCSD thanks 911 Dispatchers, celebrates National Public Safety Telecommunicators week

Darkhorse Press joins Jones County Sheriff’s Department and many others in celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in America.

JCSD released the following:

“As the voice behind the telephone on emergency 911 calls, these dedicated 911 Dispatchers truly are the “first” first responders. Nerves of steel, hearts of gold, and masters of multitasking are common denominators of these incredibly talented individuals. They are indeed yours and our lifeline.

The exceptional nature of the job that 911 Dispatchers perform requires the ability to perform at the highest level in times when callers are experiencing the worst moments of their lives.

We at the Jones County Sheriff’s Department hope that all of our 911 Dispatchers have a wonderful week of celebration. Thank you for your service and willingness to do a job that few will or can do.

Sincerely,

Sheriff Joe Berlin and the entire staff of the Jones County Sheriff’s Department”
