A juvenile and two anadults are in custody after a police pursuit Monday night that lead to another one Tuesday.

Monday evening Ridgeland PD Officers located a stolen Honda Accord near Old Canton Road and attempted to apprehend the driver. The vehicle fled and the pursuit was terminated due to the danger to our motorists.

Madison County Sheriff’s Department Deputies located the stolen Accord on the Natchez Trace where it fled from them back into the jurisdiction of Ridgeland. Efforts to disable the vehicle were made and the vehicle continued into Jackson and the pursuit was again terminated to protect the public.

Officers located the stolen Honda Accord Tuesday around 3:12pm, near South Wheatley Street in the City of Ridgeland. The suspect, when officers attempted to stop the stolen Accord, fled once again. His erratic driving placed the public in danger and the pursuit was once again terminated to protect other motorists.

The vehicle was spotted on Lenard Avenue by a Department of Public Safety helicopter who alerted our units to the area. Ultimately, our K9 and K9 Handler apprehended all three suspects after the driver attempted to flee in the stolen vehicle by driving on the railroad tracks that run parallel to Highway 51 in Ridgeland.

The driver is a juvenile and he has been detained in a Juvenile Detention Center. The other suspects, Kajuan Beverly Joice Peters and Daniel Pheon Mason were charged as adults.

Mason was charged with receiving stolen property, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and failure to comply. Peters was charged with the same plus using a false ID.
