Tupelo Police Arrest Man For Commercial Burglary

On June 16, Tupelo Police Officers responded to a report of found property near West Main Street.
Officers traced the property back to D’Casa on West Main where they discovered that a burglary had occurred.
On June 26, officers responded to a business on Murphy’s Oil on West Main Street. An employee of the business stated that as they were opening for the day they heard a loud noise from the back of the business and observed a black male wearing a red hoodie standing inside the store.
The suspect then fled the scene.
On June 27, 21-year-old Devalon O. Ford (Tupelo) was taken into custody by the Tupelo Police Department and charged with two counts of Burglary of a Commercial Building and Possession of Burglary Tools.
Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen set Ford’s bond at $150,000. These charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
