Tupelo Police Investigating Two Separate Shootings

The Tupelo Police Department is currently investigating two separate shootings that occurred in residential neighborhoods over the weekend.

ADAMS AND KELLY STREET SHOOTING:

The first incident took place early Saturday, July 20, around 12:30 AM, when officers responded to reports of shots fired near Adams Street and Kelly Street in East Tupelo.

Witnesses reported seeing two males shooting at a vehicle on Kelly Street. An occupied house and a parked vehicle were struck by bullets, but no injuries were reported. The suspects were last seen running toward Veterans Boulevard.

TEDFORD STREET SHOOTING:

The second shooting happened early Sunday, July 21, 2024, at approximately 1:30 AM, in the 200 block of Tedford Street. Witnesses described a black male, slim and wearing jeans, firing several shots before fleeing the scene. Officers found two parked vehicles hit by bullets, but again, no injuries were reported.
