Tuesday Weather: Severe Storm Threat

Severe storms, capable of producing tornadoes, damaging wind gusts, and hail up to golf ball size are expected on today. Tornadoes are likely, especially within the Moderate Risk area, and strong tornadoes also possible.

Areas of flash flooding are expected this morning through early evening. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches are expected with locally higher amounts possible. Minor to moderate river flooding is also likely.

Even outside of thunderstorms, southerly winds will be strong at times with sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph and gusts of 40 to 50 mph.
