Slither in to “World Snake Day” on Friday at the Science Museum

See, touch, and learn about snakes! MDWFP’s Mississippi Museum of Natural Science will host “World Snake Day” on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. “At  World Snake Day, you can see and touch live snakes, learn the value of Mississippi’s native snakes, and learn how to distinguish venomous snakes from non-venomous snakes,” explains Museum Director Charles Knight.

Museum educators and research scientists will be on site with live snakes to answer your questions about them. Crafts and educational activities about snakes will be ongoing from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors (60+), $6 for youth (3-18), free for youth under age three; and free for Members of the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science Foundation.
