Six Arrested In Two Separate Burglary, Drug Incidents In Adams County

On August 13, the Adams County Sheriff’s Department acted on a tip from a business owner on Carthage Point Road about suspicious individuals around a closed business.

Later that day, a deputy located a vehicle matching the description given and found three people inside the truck parked behind the building. Jake Jones III, Ashley French, and Jordan Adams, all from Vidalia, Louisiana, were arrested and charged with burglary.

In a separate incident, deputies responded to a burglary on Azelea Lane on the afternoon of August 18. Following an investigation, Andra Lucas was arrested for burglary on August 20, Christopher Owens on August 22, and Travion Williams on August 23.

Williams was out on bond for previous charges, including manslaughter, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and aggravated assault.

On August 23, deputies also arrested Brian McKlemurry on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance. During his arraignment, McKlemurry attempted to escape but was quickly apprehended. Judge Barber set a $200,000 bond for the original charge and an additional $150,000 bond for the new charge of escape.
