Search and Rescue Underway for Missing Alcorn County Man

A 75-year-old man from Alcorn county has gone missing after leaving his home to take his dog on a walk.

Wade Davis, from the Jacinto area, left his home with his dog at about 9:00 am Wednesday morning.

Alcorn County Second District Supervisor James Voyles has been giving updates on his social media in relation to the situation.

As of 5:36 on Thursday, his post said the following:

“4:09 pm UPDATE:
Mr Wade is still missing with his dog.
The rescue teams are still doing grid searches with chopper and drone data.
1:21 pm UPDATE:
Nothing new to report, search teams still doing everything humanly possible.
10:22 UPDATE
CHOPPER IS NOW SEARCHING!
10:11am UPDATE -teams still searching by grid, now waiting on chopper…we are overwhelmed by the effort and love people have shown for Wade and his family.
From bring water/Gatorade , food and care.
6:20am update:
Mr Wade Davis is still missing from his home.
We have a team from several counties that specialize in search/rescue.
Please continue to pray our lord will bestow wisdom on the searchers and give mr Davis strength.
Update! He’s still missing BUT
We have the very best teams in our state out looking.
They have Hounds, drones and many professionally trained search and rescue people from north state.
ATTENTION!!
We have a missing person (Wade Davis)-( 78 years old) was walking with his boxer bulldog, cr 372 the Jacinto area.
He lives close to the Prentiss county line.
He was last seen on these roads-
Cr 343, cr 376, cr 372, cr 377″

There are search and rescue crews, drones, hounds, and helicopters attempting to find Mr. Davis.
