The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for help with the murder of a man named Kenneth Lee Shoemaker that happened October 30, 2023.
According to Investigator Tyler Burnell, Kenneth Lee Shoemaker, from Pelahatchie, was injured after an assault near Pelahatchie.
During the initial investigation, investigators were able to track the victim’s last known whereabouts to the area of Hwy 43 north of the City of Pelahatchie.
As a result of the injuries Kenneth Lee Shoemaker sustained from the assault, he passed away on December 7, 2023, at an area hospital.
Anyone with information that leads to an arrest could be eligible for up to a $2,500 reward.
