Rankin County Chamber, along with the City of Brandon, present the third annual Krewe De Roux Festival on Friday, February 25th and Saturday, February 26th.

The parade will be held Friday, February 25th at 6:30 p.m. in Downtown Brandon.

Business and community groups throughout the county, as well as musical and marching groups, will feature floats and decorated cars, as they let the good times roll down the streets of Brandon in true Mardi Gras fashion.

Immediately following the parade, Genna Benna will sponsor a Block Party and the band, Voodoo Gumbo, on the main stage on Dining Street. The concert is free to attend, and restaurants will be open for food and beverage purchases.

The Gumbo Cook-Off featuring 40 cooking teams and sideline festivities is scheduled for Saturday, February 26th from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Brandon Amphitheater. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children for this exciting, third-annual event, featuring the well-known DJ, Scott Steele. In addition, all the gumbo you can taste, a kids’ zone, food trucks, car show, king cake eating contest, and so much more will be available!

Proceeds from this event benefit the Rankin County Youth Leadership program, a twenty-year-old program that develops young leaders from all schools. The festival has gifted over $25,000 in scholarships to teens in Rankin County.
