Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi and the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Department are seeking information of the person or persons responsible for shooting into passing vehicles as they traveled in Pontotoc County either recently or at the end of last year.
On December 21st, the Pontotoc Sheriff’s Department received multiple reports from different locations in Pontotoc County of vehicles that had been shot into as they met a passing vehicle. The shootings were reported to have occurred in the areas of Highway 9 North & Wilson Chapel Road, Highway 278 & Rocky Ford Road, and on Palestine Road.
On Friday March 9th, the Pontotoc Sheriff’s Department again received multiple reports of vehicles that had been shot as they met a passing vehicle. These incidents were reported to have occurred on Palestine Road near Highway 341 and on Highway 341 near Salmon Road.
