Columbus news station WCBI is reporting that a teenager has been indicted after being charged with the shooting death of his mother’s fiancé hours after his high school graduation in 2022.
Justin Coggins, of Caledonia, has been indicted for manslaughter by a Lowndes County grand jury, according to WCBI.
The incident took place on Richards Lane in May 2022 when Coggins allegedly shot Dustin Hoffpauir, 33, who died at the scene.
Coggins was 18 at the time and had just graduated from Caledonia High School.
