Oxford police make arrests in storage burglary, stolen car cases

Oxford police were busy over the long weekend, according to a Tuesday release.

Three Alcorn County residents were charged in a case related to multiple storage burglaries in Oxford. Police say they were able to identify Rhonda Killough, 60, Shannon Eaton, 42, and Joseph Eaton, 45, through the investigation. Some of the property was recovered and the suspects were taken back to Lafayette County. All three had their bonds set at $1500.

An arrest came in a two-and-a-half month-old stolen vehicle case on Friday when Christopher Golden, 35, of Batesville, was stopped in Panola County and taken into custody for the April 15 theft. He was charged with motor vehicle theft and was given a bond of $20,000, which was revoked since he was on probation.
