McComb police are looking for a man who allegedly fatally shot a woman and wounded two others.

Police Chief Garland Ward told WJTV that Shamarkese Smith, 29, was shot while driving on Delaware Avenue around 4:30 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe the shooting may have followed a fight at the Icehouse.

The other two victims, a man and a young teenage girl, were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police are now looking for Darnell Jacques Bright as a person of interest in the shooting. A warrant has been issued for his arrest on charges of discharging a weapon in the city limits and three counts of aggravated assault manifesting extreme indifference to life.

Bright is considered armed and dangerous.
