On Saturday evening April 23rd, 2022 just after 9:00 p.m., the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a one vehicle accident with ejection in the 1400 block of Star Road.

Rankin County Deputies along with the Robinhood Fire Department, Pafford Ambulance and Rankin County EOC responded to the scene. Once on scene, deputies found that a Ford Explorer SUV traveling south on Star Road appeared to have ran off the right side of the roadway and flipped several times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and suffered serious injuries.

The driver was transported to UMC and passed away there from his injuries.

Rankin County Coroner David Ruth responded to UMC and recovered the victim.

The accident is currently under investigation by Rankin County Deputies.
