On December 28, officers with the Tupelo Police Department contacted the driver of a vehicle that was blocking the parking lot exit of a business on McCullough Blvd.
As officers were contacting the driver, narcotics were detected in the vehicle.
At that time, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene and after a pursuit, the driver was taken into custody.
The driver was found to have a felony amount of narcotics and had two active Lee County Circuit Court Capias Warrants for his arrest.
28-year-old Jordan Hill, of Okolona, was charged with Felony Fleeing and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen ordered Hill to be held without bond. These charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
