Tupelo Police are investigating the shooting of a man that happened yesterday, around 4:30 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Deer Park Drive at approximately 4:30 PM for a gunshot victim at a house.
Once inside the home, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported by ambulance to the North Mississippi Medical Center with serious injuries.
Officers spoke with a woman at the residence and this shooting is believed to be the result of a domestic disturbance.
One arrest has been made and police are not actively searching for anyone at this time.
This incident is in the early stages of investigation and more information will be released when appropriate.
