Man Charged After Officers Find Large Amount Of Methamphetamine During Traffic Stop

On September 3, Tupelo Police Officers initiated a traffic stop on Eason Blvd near Tulip Creek Road. The driver was 45-year-old Robert David Webb Jr. from Mooreville. He was arrested for traffic violations.
The investigation revealed approximately 11 ounces of alleged methamphetamine, a handgun, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir set bond for Aggravated Trafficking of Methamphetamine at $150,000.
At the time of his arrest Webb was under bond for felony possession of methamphetamine, enhanced by possession of a firearm for a July 2022 arrest in Plantersville, MS. Lee County Justice Court Judge Marilyn Reed revoked Webb’s bond for his July 2022 arrest.

These charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury by North Mississippi Narcotics Agents. This investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
