Man Arrested For Indecent Exposure, Drug Charges At Tupelo Park

Tupelo Police arrested a Grenada man after a report of indecent exposure at Veterans Park.
The incident happened on May 15th, at 10:30 a.m. Tupelo Police received multiple calls about a man exposing himself to people at Veterans Park.
The adult female victim said she was sitting in her car at the park when the suspect walked to her vehicle, exposed himself, and tried to open her car door.
She immediately drove away and called police.
Responding officers quickly located and detained the suspect.
During their initial investigation, officers discovered that the suspect was in possession of illegal drugs. 36-year-old Octavious Brown was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
After further investigation, investigators with the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit and Tupelo Police were able to determine that Brown was also the suspect in an indecent exposure incident at the Lee County Library.
On May 8th, 2024, an adult female victim said that Brown exposed himself to her while inside the library.
On May 16th, 2024 Brown was charged with two counts of Indecent Exposure (Misdemeanor) and Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine (Felony). Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Willie Allen ordered Brown to be held without bond.
