The Madison Police Department is engaged in a standoff with a man at a home in Reserve Crossing subdivision in the city of Madison.

According to Captain Kevin Newman, a male subject was involved in a domestic dispute and is inside the home with a firearm, alone.

Officers have been speaking with the subject in an attempt to come outside and surrender.

The situation remains delicate as officers work to resolve the matter without incident.

Residents in the area are advised to stay indoors and avoid the vicinity until the situation is resolved. We will update further as soon as we get more information.
