Another Jackson County employee is being charged with a felony count of embezzlement for stealing road equipment.
Charles Daniel Smith, 39-year-old of Moss Point, has been accused of stealing equipment from his former employer, the Jackson County road department.
Earlier this month, Charles Daniel Smith’s supervisor John Wayne Smith, 35-year-old of Vancleave, was arrested and charged with felony embezzlement as well.
Sheriff Mike Ezell says that investigators have found all of the stolen equipment.
They are both out of jail on a $10,000 bond after being arrested.
There is an ongoing investigation between the sheriff’s office and the state auditor’s office.
