Escapee Joseph Spring was captured this morning by  the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department and the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force following a brief vehicle encounter in the west Jackson area.

Miguel Berry, 29, was also arrested and charged with felony fleeing and hindering prosecution by HCSO deputies. Authorities say Berry was driving.

According to HCSO’s Facebook page, Michael Lewis, 31, and Joseph Spring, 31, were both found to be missing from the Raymond Detention Center during the official headcount on May 29. A breach in the facility and damage was later located along with fence damage.

Lewis was arrested shortly afterward.
