Drugs and money confiscated in a Friday raid in Calhoun county

On Friday after a months long investigation between the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Jeremy Moore, 44, was arrested on multiple drug charges.

A search warrant was executed on his residence on CR 457 in Calhoun City at 7 am.

He is currently charged with 4 counts of sale of methamphetamine, 1 count of aggravated trafficking and controlled substance, 1 count possession of a controlled substance, and 1 count of possession of cocaine.

Agents found:
9 Pistols
5 rifles
7 shotguns
2 pounds of Methamphetamine Ice
$2185 in cash

“I want to personally thank Major John Butts, Captain Brian Turner and Agent Corey Alexander of the Ms Bureau of Narcotics for their cooperation and partnership in this investigation,” said Calhoun County Sheriff Greg Pollan. “Our partnership with MBN helped to stop a major flow of narcotics in Calhoun County. Chief Deputy Dean Poynor and Deputy Kenneth Scott were very instrumental in this investigation.

“MBN is a huge asset to small rural counties like Calhoun County and I truly appreciate their dedication to the citizens of Calhoun and the state of Mississippi.”

This case is still under investigation. He is currently being held with no bond.
