Grand Village Of The Natchez Indians Hosting Fun Event For Families

The Grand Village of the Natchez Indians is hosting a fun outdoor event for families this Friday (March 24).

Stickball and Social Dancing program will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Stickball is a traditional game of the native people of the Eastern Woodlands. It is played by the Natchez, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Muscogee, and Cherokee tribes.

Music and dance are also important form of expression for some native people. These living traditions serve to ensure that cultural heritage continues to thrive for future generations.

This event is free and open to the public. It goes from 3:30-6:00 p.m.
