An elderly Georgetown woman has died in an early morning structure fire.
Copiah county coroner Ellis Stuart said Faye Berry, 90, was found dead in a fire in her home on Catching Avenue in Georgetown Saturday.
investigators from the state fire marshal‘s office have been on the scene this morning looking for the cause of the fire.
Berry has been sent to Mississippi Mortuary Services for autopsy.
Stuart said a preliminary investigation shows the cause of death will probably be burns and smoke inhalation.
