According to Marshall County Chief Deputy Kelly McMillen, a newborn baby was found behind a dumpster in Marshall County.

The baby was alive and found on the property of the Grove at Cayce Wednesday around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

WMC said the girl is a 2-3 week old Hispanic female and she was found wrapped in several blankets by two men passing by.

She was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and is doing well.

Marshall County DHS went to the hospital to wait for the baby’s arrival.

They will take the baby as soon as she is released.
