The Wesson Police Department responded to a commercial business fire around 9:27 a.m. Wednesday morning. The fire happened at East End Grocery. Wesson Fire Department, Allen Fire Department, Stronghope Fire Department, and Newsight Fire Department responded and assisted in extinguishing the fire. No one was injured in the fire.

On Sunday, Sept. 11, Hattiesburg Police arrested a man for credit card fraud. 24-year-old Danuel Brooks, of Hattiesburg, was arrested and charged with one count of credit card fraud in connection to using stolen credit cards to make purchases, in an incident that occurred over the weekend. Brooks was booked into the Forrest County Jail.
