Applications for the Pelahatchie Bay Alligator season opened Feb. 1 and will close on Thursday, Feb. 8.

The applications received will go into a random drawing for the permits for the season. ⁠

Unlike the regular alligator season permit application, the Pelahatchie Bay Alligator season requires two applicants. Both applicants must complete the application, and if drawn, must hunt together in the same hunting party. ⁠

To be eligible to apply for an alligator hunting permit, you must be a resident of Mississippi and at least 16 years of age at the time of application. Nonresidents with a Mississippi Lifetime License are eligible. ⁠
