An Abbeville man was arrested recently in Lee County after a traffic stop in the Mooreville area.
A release from Lee County said deputies tried to stop a car after getting a 911 call that the occupants had been in a fight. The vehicle failed to yield to deputies for a short period but eventually pulled over near the Lee/Itawamba County Line.
The driver was identified as Kirklon Persharn Lewis, 49. During the encounter, Lewis was found to be in possession of Amphetamine and $2280. Lewis was charged with Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance – amphetamine, failure to yield to blue lights, and giving false information to officers. Bond was set at $10,000 by a Justice Court Judge.
