Last week McComb police responded to a local hospital on a call of a man who was gravely injured by gunfire.

According to a release from McComb Police Department, the man had been dropped off at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the neck and face. From there, he was transported to University Medical Center New Orleans with life-threatening injuries.

Monday around 3:30 PM, 19-year-old Lekindrick C. Brumfield of McComb was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with extreme indifference to life in connection with the shooting.
