Police arrest two after Saltillo domestic dispute with gunshots

Two people have been arrested after a Wednesday domestic dispute involving gunfire.

According to Saltillo police, they were called to a domestic violence call around 7:30 a.m. They had been informed that there had been shots fired at the Mobile Street home.

Once the scene was secured, William Roberts and Thomas Hayes were taken into custody. Hayes is the alleged shooter and it appears he fired his weapon into the air to frighten the victim. Saltillo Police recovered the weapon along with his 30 round magazine. A large amount of meth and paraphernalia was also discovered and confiscated.

Thomas Hayes is charged with possession of meth, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and domestic violence.

William Roberts is charged with possession of meth and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

North MS Narcotics is assisting in the incident and more charges are possible. No one was injured in the incident.
