The Jones County Sheriff’s Department has arrested Jonathan Smith, 38, of Moselle, on one count of Sexual Battery To A Child and one count of Molesting – Touching A Child For Lustful Purposes.

JCSD Investigator Sergeant J.D. Carter said, “Jonathan Smith is accused of sexual battery and molestation involving two female children under the age of sixteen. These are serious allegations which have been brought forth and our investigation into both cases is ongoing.”

Smith will have his initial appearance on Wednesday, December 5, 2022, at 1:00pm in Jones County Justice Court.
