Hattiesburg Man Sentenced to federal Prison for Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth

A Hattiesburg man was sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, announced U.S. Attorney Darren J. LaMarca and Special Agent in Charge Brad Byerley of the Drug Enforcement Administration.

According to court records, on March 4, 2020, Nicholas Walker, 39, sold 223.5 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential source in Covington County for $2,000.

Walker was indicted by a federal grand jury and pled guilty on February 16, 2023.

The Drug Enforcement Administration investigated the case.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Erica Rose

This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation.
