One arrest made in Meridian triple shooting, others expected

Meridian police have made an arrest in Monday night’s triple shooting.

According to WTOK, police say more arrests are expected.

Kedarius Earl, 16, is facing aggravated assault charges. He’s charged as an adult. His bond has been set at $250,000.

Police say the shooting happened near 5th Street and 45th Avenue on Monday when between three and five people were shooting at each other.

One victim who was shot in the stomach called 911 and was taken to a local hospital. Sometime around 7:15, two other victims arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle. One of them was shot in the chest and the other was shot in the hand. The vehicle they drove also had several bullet holes in it.

Police said the shooting appears gang-related. All three victims are expected to recover.
