Earlier this week, the Lee County Sheriff’s Department arrested Earl DJuan Metcalf after an investigation into Heroin distribution in Lee County.

After Metcalf’s arrest, the LCSO, along with the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit, was able to obtain a search warrant for Metcalf’s residence at 207 Old Planters Road in Plantersville. Upon the execution of the search warrant, authorities seized 132 dosage units of hydrocodone, $18,956 and a rifle.

Also arrested was Sunnya Merritt, who lived at the residence.

Metcalf, 48, is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute, trafficking of a Schedule II controlled substance, and possession of a firearm by a felon

Metcalf has a lengthy criminal history in multiple states for selling narcotics. His bond was set at $500,000.
