A 19-year old man is in the hospital after being shot multiple times in Crystal Springs on Monday.
A release from Crystal Springs Police Department states that police responded to a call of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Jaquavious Stewart Brent suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers provided first aid until EMS arrived on scene. The man was transported to the hospital via helicopter and is now in critical condition.
Crystal Springs police officials say the first aid provided by police “was crucial to saving the life of this young man.”
Crystal Springs police and the Copiah County Sheriff’s Department recently asked the public for help identifying individuals who might be involved in shootings that have been taking place around the area over the last year.
