MS Physical Therapy hosted their first First Responder Fun Run and PT Screening at the Township in Ridgeland on Saturday.
In addition to the Fun Run, First Responders received free screenings by MS Physical Therapy and Trustcare. MS Physical Therapy performed injury screens while Trustcare checked blood pressure and glucose levels. Also, Fleet Feet conducted foot scans to find ideal shoe fit for comfort and support.
Brad Letchworth with the Madison Fire Department ran in the fun run and got screened by MS Physical Therapy.
“I came in to do a screening. Those guys have actually come to our gym before to do screenings as well and I’m here today. This is the second time I’ve been screened for two separate injuries.” said Letchworth.
“We think it’s really important to help serve our community,” said Dr. John Horlock, Owner of MS Physical Therapy. “Our firemen, policemen, and all who live here locally are not served enough. We wanted to really reach out and help our first responders.”
According to Dr. Horlock, MS Physical Therapy is hoping to make this an annual event.
