A Blue Springs man has been arrested on multiple charges in Lee County, with more charges possible.
An investigation began when Lee County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a man allegedly providing illegal narcotics to a child.
During the investigation, it was determined that 39-year-old Charles Bishop of Blue Springs was the suspect. Evidence of sexual battery against a child was also found, according to Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson.
On March 30, a warrant was obtained for Mr. Bishop’s arrest. Bishop was soon located in another county and taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service.
Bishop is currently charged with 3 counts of sexual battery, 2 counts of child abuse/drug endangerment, 1 count of molestation, and 1 count of aggravated domestic violence.
